酒質/Tasting Notes:
葡萄特別選自Groenekloof及Swartland地區。此產區的特色在日夜溫差大,白天炎熱,晚上涼爽。加上特殊深紅色的土壤,讓葡萄酒展現出綜合紅色莓果和黑色莓果香風味, 集中的酒體與柔順的單寧結構。手工採收葡萄。去梗破皮後,將葡萄酒移到10,000L法國橡木桶和10,000L不銹鋼桶中浸皮發酵15天,溫度維持在26℃。自流酒與壓榨酒分別陳桶,8個月後進行調合,而後在橡木桶陳年12個月。

細微的煙燻味襯托成熟的黑櫻桃香氣,點綴一絲香料和土壤氣息。濃郁的黑色莓果伴隨東方香料如八角和丁香風味。細緻的單寧帶出柔滑的質地和悠長的餘韻。

Grapes for the Protea Shiraz were sourced from select vineyards across different regions to express a diverse flavor profile. Grapes were transported to the cellar and fermentation took place in temperaturecontrolled stainless-steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit purity. Once fermentation was completed and the free run juice was reserved, the skins pressed. After malolactic fermentation, the wine was racked off the lees and matured for 12 months in old French oak, adding complexity and subtle oak influence on the final blend.

Peppery edge to plum and black fruit aromas, with a hint of dried herbs. The entry to the palate is rounded and supple, populated with the black berry fruit and plums which the nose promised – nicely ripe. Fresh and succulent with good concentration and depth. The texture is soft and inviting, smooth and not overpowered by oak, tannin, acid or even fruit. Delicious in the harmony of the various elements of the wine with a sustained, spicy, long tail.

    以製作精品的嚴苛標準與品味,打造南非最富藝術氣息的頂尖酒莊 Anthonij Rupert 酒莊起源於南非知名產區Franschhoek,酒莊擁有的葡萄園L'Ormarins早在1694年建置完成。1969年被Rupert家族收購。現任莊主Johann Rupert 同時也是擁有全球知名頂級奢侈品Cartier、Dunhill,IWC和Montblanc等品牌的Richemont Group 〈歷峰集團〉執行長。 Johann Rupert一開始並非酒莊負責人,而是負責掌管精品品牌,然而,在弟弟Anthonij Rupert 與父親Anton Rupert相繼辭世後,整個酒莊的經營管理便都落到了Johann的身上,為了紀念摯愛的弟弟,以弟弟的名字Anthonij Rupert為酒莊命名。 Anthonij Rupert 酒莊擁有四座優質葡萄園,分別是位於Franschhoek產區的L’Ormarins葡萄園、Darling產區的Rooderust葡萄園、Swartland產區的Riebeeksrivier葡萄園以及Elandskloof產區的Altima葡萄園。這四座葡萄園分別種植適合的品種,釀造的各系列酒款都能展現最優異的產區風土特色。 Johann憑藉著認真細緻的性格,帶著酒莊走向巔峰,同時在精品界的歷練讓他對藝術擁有非常獨到的品味。酒莊Protea 系列優雅細緻的酒瓶設計,可以變身為時尚的油醋瓶、美麗實用的玻璃杯、浪漫的燭台,甚至是華麗的吊燈,為生活增添品味與質感,也藉此提升品牌知名度。在Johann的精心雕琢下,成就Anthonij Rupert成為南非最富藝術氣息的頂尖「精品酒莊」。
    When Dr. Anton Rupert acquired L’Ormarins in 1968 from Pieter Gabriel Marais and Willem Pieter Morkel, L’Ormarins had already made the first Champion South African Brandy and White Wine.

     
    In 1984 Anthonij, having taken over the running of L’Ormarins from his father restored the Manor House (Built in 1811) and the Historic Cellar (dating back to 1799), which were both declared national monuments. In 1989 L’Ormarins won every major local wine competition. While tragically in 2001, Anthonij Rupert passes away.
     
    In 2003 Johann Rupert takes over L’Ormarins. In 2005 he builds the Anthonij Rupert Cellar. A state of the art, gravity fed cellar with revolving ceiling and underground barrel cellar completed in memory of his brother. That same year he employs internationally acclaimed oenologist, Michel Rolland, as a consultant to the Anthonij Rupert team, resulting in the first vintage of Anthonij Rupert wines released in 2009. Since the maiden 2005 vintage completed in this cellar, all wines in the range including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and ‘The Blend’ have consistently scored 90 points and more for every vintage judged by Wine Spectator.
